“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” Philippians 1: 3 – 5
We feel much like Paul when he wrote to the Philippians and are so thankful for the partnership of so many to make our playground happen. The joy on our students faces this morning at the ribbon cutting was breathtaking!
A special thanks to the LCMS Urban and Inner-City Mission and Director, Pastor Steve Schave, who is one of our chapel leaders and helped make a generous donation possible from his organization.
Thanks also goes to those Word of Life families who participated or contributed to the $2 dress-down days last school year, the Andoro’s Pizza Fundraiser, and the Word of Life Auction including those who specifically donated to the making of this play structure, Ralph Simon, Lisa Holderle, Marla & Carlos Lopez, and Gary & Sara Freer and our ribbon cutting donors, Ruth & Darin Sorrell.
Lastly, Principal Klug has worked diligently for two years and throughout the summer to ensure our students have a new structure to enjoy. We are grateful for her leadership!
