LESA’s Building Blocks Scholarships

LESA’s Building Blocks scholarships offer financial aid to children from economically disadvantaged families who wish to attend LESA-member Lutheran elementary schools in the metropolitan St. Louis community. The mission is to touch the lives of children and families through an academically-focused, faith-based elementary school experience and make a positive difference in their future. Since its inception, Building Blocks’ programs have awarded 5,863 tuition-assistance scholarships to students totaling over $3.3 million. Today, one of every six students in LESA schools receives help with the cost of elementary school tuition through a Building Blocks’ program. The goal is to give financial aid to all who qualify and apply.

Help for Today – Hope for Tomorrow: K-8th Scholarship

The Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation–following the example of Jesus Christ in His service to those in need–assists faith-based and private schools in providing quality, affordable and accessible educational opportunities for any economically disadvantaged family within the St. Louis region by generating financial assistance in the form of scholarships from local and national funding sources.

Depending upon a family’s financial need, an eligible applicant can receive up to 75% of their school’s tuition or a maximum of $2,500 per year.

The scholarship will follow the family through the 8th grade as long as the family continues to meet financial eligibility and the child(ren) remains a student(s) in good standing at a private or parochial school in the city of St. Louis.

Information on the scholarship, online application and the online system for parents and schools can be found by visiting ttef-stl.org/help-for-today-hope-for-tomorrow/
