
Melissa Bergholt
Experience: This is my fifth year at Word of Life. I am currently the principal but have taught both 6th and 8th grade homeroom and Middle School Math and Science in my time serving here. Prior to Word of Life, I was a principal and algebra teacher beginning in 2008. From 2006-2008, I served as a 7th grade homeroom teacher and 6th-8th grade Math teacher. In my first call as a teacher from 2001-2006, I served as the 6th grade homeroom teacher, and the Math and Science teacher for 6th-8th grade students.
Education: Concordia University, Mequon, WI, Bachelor’s degree, Elementary Education, with a minor in math; University of Central Florida, Master’s degree, K-8th math and science education.
Personal Education Philosophy: My philosophy is to teach the whole child. As teachers, we not only educate in core areas, but also help students to learn and grow in their faith as individuals.
Classroom Goals: My goal is to integrate faith while teaching students about what God created through earth, life, and physical science lessons.
Interests: Reading, jogging, watching movies, time with family
